Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS)

JOB SUMMARY

Poznecki-Camarillo, Inc. is looking for a Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) with project management experience to join our team.  The RPLS will work under minimal supervision and will be responsible for survey computations, mapping, generating DTM models, drafting surveys, conducting research, performing boundary resolution, creating legal descriptions, creating plats, data processing and coordinating with field crew. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead project teams and survey field staff to accomplish task assignments and deliverables related to survey projects
  • Provide guidance and oversight to the project team to ensure tasks and quality deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and within scope
  • Serve as the client’s single point of contact to communicate projects status, issues, and dependencies
  • Will assist in developing business relationships with existing and new clients for the firm with an emphasis on cultivating, managing and maintaining superior client relationships
  • Communicate with internal staff, subs consultants, prime consultants, stakeholders, and governmental agencies
  • Provide field assistance by conducting site visits and/or assist crews in the field when necessary.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid registration as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in the state of Texas
  • 5 years progressive experience managing survey projects
  • TxDOT Precertification in survey categories
  • Proficient in MicroStation and AutoCAD
  • Working knowledge with Civil 3D, MS Office, MS Project
  • Experience and knowledge in working on highway, capital improvements, and government projects
  • Ability to technically develop members of the survey team
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with all levels of employees
  • Works well in teams

 

PREFERED REQUIREMENTS

  • 10 years experience as a survey project manager with 5 of those years in in the transportation industry
  • Business development, marketing, and networking experience in the Texas marketplace
  • Working knowledge of Trimble Business Center and Lidar

Working conditions are primarily in an office setting with occasional requirements to operates a company vehicle and do site visits.

Senior Civil Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

Poznecki-Camarillo, Inc. is looking for a Civil Engineer with transportation experience to join our team.  The Civil Engineer will work under minimal supervision and will be responsible for the design and management of roadway and highway projects to include all phases of project development for schematics and PS&E projects.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead project teams to accomplish task assignments related to schematic design and PS&E for road and highway projects in accordance with federal, state and local guidelines
  • Provide guidance and oversight to the project team to ensure tasks and quality deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and within scope
  • Develop innovative design techniques and project delivery methods
  • Perform design and analysis for projects that include city, county roads, and highways
  • Will assist in developing business relationships with existing and new clients for the firm with an emphasis on cultivating, managing and maintaining superior client relationships
  • Communicate with internal staff, subs consultants, prime consultants, stakeholders, and governmental agencies

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering
  • 5 years experience leading federal, state and local transportation projects
  • Proficient in MicroStation and Geopak (OpenRoads)
  • Must be a licensed engineer (P.E.) in Texas, or meet the requirements to obtain licensing within the first 6 months of employment
  • TxDOT experience and ability to provide a list of pre-certifications available
  • Ability to technically develop members of the project team
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with all levels of employees
  • Works well in teams

 

PREFERRED  REQUIREMENTS

  • 10 years of project management experience in the transportation industry
  • Business development, marketing, and networking experience in the Texas marketplace
  • Previously selected as the Project Manager responsible for federal, state, and local transportation projects
