JOB SUMMARY

Poznecki-Camarillo, Inc. is looking for a Project Manager – Transportation Engineer to join our team.  This position is responsible for the management of state and local roadway and highway infrastructure projects. The Project Manager – Transportation Engineer will work under minimal supervision and will be accountable for the overall success of the project. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead business development pursuits which includes proposal development, client interviews, and relationship management
  • Lead project team for the schematic design and PS&E for roadway/highway and local public works infrastructure projects in accordance with TxDOT and local guidelines and standards
  • Provide guidance and direction to project team for various design task and ensure quality deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and within scope
  • Communicate project status with the project team, client, and other project stakeholders
  • Meet with TxDOT; MPO’s; City; County and other project stakeholders to maintain effective relationships
  • Develop project budget, scope and schedule; monitor quality and adherence to client criteria
  • Prepare and/or revise construction and planning documents as well as exhibits within company standards from redlines for a variety of projects
  • Coordinate and communicate with project team in engineering, production, design and management to meet overall project objectives and deadlines
  • Assist preparation and assemble project delivery packages
  • Flexible in work assignments and team assignments

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas
  • 10 years of experience in roadway schematic design and PS&E with progressive project management experience
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple project team(s) in the conception to completion of multiple and diverse projects
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with all level of employees in an organization
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with project stakeholders
  • Ability to technically develop members of the project team
  • Effective communications skills, both oral and written skills across all levels of the organization
  • Works well in teams
  • Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or on a daily basis as changes occur in project needs
  • Proficient in MicroStation, GeoPak, AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel, and Word
  • Must be able to work 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 12 pm on Friday, with occasional overtime

 

PREFERED REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in TxDOT consulting engineering projects
  • Experience with OpenRoads
  • Experience with collaboration software (ProjectWise, Bluebeam, etc.)
  • 3D Design experience

CADD Technician

JOB SUMMARY

Poznecki-Camarillo, Inc. is looking for a CADD Technician to join our team.  This position is responsible for providing CADD support to engineers for state and local roadway and highway infrastructure and land development projects. The CADD Technician will work under the supervision of Engineer(s) and be responsible for preparing drawings and designs using both AutoCAD-Civil 3D and Microstation for project plans, documents, reports and exhibits.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare and/or revise plans, profiles, and detailed drawings and exhibits within company standards from redlines for a variety of projects utilizing CADD software
  • Develop construction documents showing topographical contours, elevations, profiles and cross-sections as well as develop draft design engineering drawings
  • Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings with minimal supervision
  • Coordinate and communicate with project team in engineering, production, design and management to meet overall project objectives and deadlines
  • Performs project CADD tasks and assignments
  • Understand and use established company standards for drafting including layer names, line and character styles, drawings and window names, and file names for sheet layout
  • Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings with minimal supervision
  • Assist engineers and CADD staff in work production and assembly of project deliverables
  • Maintain organized work area to allow access of project information by other team members
  • Flexible in work assignments and team assignments

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 years’ experience in CADD design for transportation and land development projects
  • Proficient in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD-Civil 3D
  • Effective communications skills, both oral and written skills across all levels of the organization
  • Works well in teams

Poznecki-Camarillo, Inc. is looking for a Civil Engineer with transportation experience to join our team.  This position is responsible for the design of roadway and highway for transportation schematics and PS&E projects. The Civil Engineer will work under limited supervision and will be responsible for producing quality deliverables on time, within budget, and within scope.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for the schematic design and PS&E for roadway/highway and local public works infrastructure projects in accordance with federal, state and local guidelines
  • Perform design and analysis for projects that include city, county roads, interchanges, and highways
  • Develop innovative design techniques and project delivery methods
  • Provide guidance and oversight to less experienced staff to ensure tasks and quality deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and within scope
  • Will assist in developing business relationships with existing and new clients for the firm with an emphasis on cultivating, managing and maintaining superior client relationships
  • Communicate with internal staff, subs consultants, prime consultants, stakeholders, and governmental agencies

 

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas, or meet the requirements to obtain licensing within the first 6 months of employment
  • 5 years experience with federal, state and local transportation projects
  • TxDOT experience and ability to provide a list of pre-certifications available
  • Ability to technically develop members of the project team
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, across all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in MicroStation, GeoPak, AutoCAD, Excel and Word
  • Works well in teams

 

PREFERRED  REQUIREMENTS

  • Project management experience in the transportation industry
  • Previous experience in TxDOT consulting engineering projects
