JOB SUMMARY

Poznecki-Camarillo is looking for an experienced, results driven, graphic designer/technical writer. In that role, you will be responsible for developing visual graphic content for our clients’ environmental and public involvement consultants in preparing quality technical documents for our government and public entity clients.  You will work closely with senior leadership and project managers to develop and manage communication strategies and employ the optimal tactics and methods to meet the needs of our clients and the organization.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and execute graphic design content in support of our environmental and public involvement projects
  • Work with public involvement leaders and professionals to flesh out concepts and then lead in bringing those ideas to life
  • Organize material and writing assignments according to the set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology
  • Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by technical subject matter experts
  • Work with leadership and other public involvement professionals to develop and edit clear and concise messages for external and internal communications (proposals, newsletters, website, social media, public announcements, etc.)
  • Assist in redesigning and optimizing the company website and social media
  • Collaborate with or support marketing team as needed

 

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in English, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field.  Six years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of education requirement.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient at storytelling across print and digital platforms, with the ability to gather and synthesize complex or technical information from various sources and use it as the basis to craft cohesive and persuasive narratives.
  • Exceptional technical writing/communications skills, able to follow processes, and is the ‘go to’ person for graphic design initiatives
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to plan, manage, and oversee production of creative materials, taking ideas from concept to completion.
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills and can handle multiple, high priority tasks under strict deadlines
  • Experience and knowledge in copywriting, proofreading and editing
  • Strong Photo, voice (voiceovers), and video production and editing skills
  • Strong understanding of communication/marketing strategies, branding, and project management
  • Able to contribute to a positive team environment
  • Proven experience in web design, development, and maintenance
  • Experience and skilled in social media marketing and outreach, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram

Poznecki-Camarillo is looking for a Civil Engineer with transportation experience to join our team.  This position is responsible for the design of roadway and highway for transportation schematics and PS&E projects. The Civil Engineer will work under limited supervision and will be responsible for producing quality deliverables on time, within budget, and within scope.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for the schematic design and PS&E for roadway/highway and local public works infrastructure projects in accordance with federal, state and local guidelines
  • Perform design and analysis for projects that include city, county roads, interchanges, and highways
  • Develop innovative design techniques and project delivery methods
  • Provide guidance and oversight to less experienced staff to ensure tasks and quality deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and within scope
  • Will assist in developing business relationships with existing and new clients for the firm with an emphasis on cultivating, managing and maintaining superior client relationships
  • Communicate with internal staff, subs consultants, prime consultants, stakeholders, and governmental agencies

 

EDUCATION

Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas, or meet the requirements to obtain licensing within the first 6 months of employment
  • 3 years experience with federal, state and local transportation projects
  • TxDOT experience and ability to provide a list of pre-certifications available
  • Ability to technically develop members of the project team
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, across all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in MicroStation, GeoPak, AutoCAD, Excel and Word

Additionally, you will assist our engineering, land surveying, environmental, and public involvement professionals in coordinating, compiling, and performing quality reviews for RFQ responses.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare a compelling response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) which solicit professional and consultative services within the civil engineering, environmental planning, land surveying and public involvement disciplines
  • Track and manage progress and deadlines for proposals
  • Ensure accuracy with required guidelines for proposal submittal
  • Edit, standardize, or make changes to responses prepared by technical subject matter experts
  • Search and identify solicitations for proposals
  • Manage and organize marketing, proposal, and business development materials
  • Maintain marketing and business development data in the company’s CRM database

Poznecki-Camarillo is looking for a Project Manager – Transportation Engineer to join our team.  This position is responsible for the management of state and local roadway and highway infrastructure projects. The Project Manager – Transportation Engineer will work under minimal supervision and will be accountable for the overall success of the project.

  • Lead business development pursuits which includes proposal development, client interviews, and relationship management
