Civil Engineer – Construction Management

Base Salary: $98K-$140K
Job Type: Full-Time/Exempt
Location: Texas (Hybrid Remote and Travel)



Poznecki-Camarillo is looking for a Civil Engineer with construction management experience on roadway/highway construction projects to join our team. This position is responsible for the construction inspection and management for roadways and highway for transportation projects. The Civil Engineer will work under limited supervision and will be responsible for producing quality deliverables on time, within budget, and within scope. This position can be hybrid or remote within Texas with travel to specific construction sites within the state. Poznecki-Camarillo has offices in the San Antonio and Austin area.



  • Responsible for overseeing construction on roadway/highway infrastructure projects
  • Assist with PS&E for roadway/highway and local public works infrastructure projects in accordance with federal, state and local guidelines
  • Asssist with design and analysis for projects that include city, county roads, interchanges, and highways
  • Develop innovative construction management, design techniques and project delivery methods
  • Provide guidance and oversight to less experienced staff to ensure tasks and quality deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and within scope
  • Will assist in developing business relationships with existing and new clients for the firm with an emphasis on cultivating, managing and maintaining superior client relationships
  • Communicate with internal staff, subs consultants, prime consultants, stakeholders, and governmental agencies



Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent



  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas, or meet the requirements to obtain licensing within the first 6 months of employment
  • 3 years of experience with federal, state and local transportation projects
  • TxDOT experience and ability to provide a list of pre-certifications available
  • Ability to technically develop members of the project team
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, across all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in MicroStation, GeoPak, AutoCAD, Excel and Word
  • Strong sense of time management and ability to prioritize and manage tasks on concurrent assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or on a daily basis as changes occur in project needs
  • Ability to contribute to a positive team environment
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with people in various roles with different leadership styles across all levels of the organization
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills



  • 5 years experience with federal, state and local transportation projects
  • Project management experience in the transportation industry
  • Previous experience in TxDOT consulting engineering projects
  • Experience with OpenRoads
  • Experience with collaboration software (ProjectWise, BlueBeam, etc.)
  • 3D Design experience
  • Experience with business development, marketing, and networking in the Texas marketplace

**Higher qualifications may merit higher placement and salary.

Working conditions are primarily traveling to project sites and a mixed office and home-based setting with requirements to operate a company vehicle and perform site visits.
