PCI In The Community

Improving Communities Together, One Project
at a Time

As a family-owned firm that has served the San Antonio area since its establishment, Poznecki-Camarillo (PCI) recognizes the impact businesses can have on local communities. As a result, PCI believes in giving back to the communities we serve by advocating for under-resourced demographics, engaging with local government to encourage innovative solutions for residents, and by encouraging young students and professionals to pursue STEM-related careers.

PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY:
COMMITTEES & BOARDS

Leaders at PCI bring their expertise to actively engage fellow board and committee members to ensure the most informed decisions are made in developing solutions for the community. Our leaders are active in organizations such as:

/// Bexar County’s Sheriff Civil Service Commission

We contribute in the development and enforcement of rules regarding the selection and employment of those with the Sheriff’s Office.

/// San Antonio Mobility Coalition

We advocate at the local government level for transportation funding for the San Antonio region.

/// Women in Transportation

We actively encourage the advancement of women in the transportation industry.

/// San Antonio Hispanic
Chamber of Commerce

We support equitable access in business and employment.

/// Family Violence Prevention
Services

We help strengthen at-risk families to break the cycle of abuse and find healthy self-sufficiency.

/// American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC)

An engineering industry advocate representing engineers, architects, land surveyors, and other related specialists.

PCI knows that the best way to make positive change in the community is by being a voice in the room where the important conversations occur.

In addition to these organizations, PCI has also served on advisory committees specific to projects in development such as the I-35 Corridor Advisory Committee appointed by the Texas Transportation Commission.

PCI also has several graduates from local leadership programs like the Alexander Briseño Leadership Development Program and Leadership San Antonio.

GIVING BACK

At PCI, we believe it does in fact “take a village” to raise a generation of future leaders through all walks of life, no matter their circumstances.

COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS

In addition to serving as a voice for our community, PCI also believes in giving back to those we serve. PCI supports many charities, scholarship programs, and social initiatives throughout the State of Texas that service low-income, minority, or underserved groups.

Over the years, PCI has partnered with several non-profit organizations such as The Ferrari Kid, Child Advocates of San Antonio (CASA), Big Brother Big Sister South Texas, San Antonio Food Bank, ACE Mentor Program, and Fiesta Youth.

We’ve also sponsored field trips for the Young Women’s Leadership Academy (YWLA) to encourage aspiring women to pursue STEM-related careers and have supported seminars for the Women in Transportation San Antonio Chapter.

FOSTERING THE FUTURE

To best provide support to our San Antonio community, PCI firmly believes in fostering its future by encouraging ongoing academic learning and career advancement of students and aspiring professionals.

We recognize the importance of actively encouraging diverse students from high school and college to pursue careers in the often-under-representated science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields of study.
