JOB SUMMARY
Poznecki-Camarillo (PCI) is seeking motivated and enthusiastic students to join our Internship Program. This program offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional and collaborative environment while working alongside experienced professionals in the fields of Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Public Involvement, and Mapping/Surveying.
As an Intern at PCI, you will participate in meaningful projects that contribute to the firm’s operations and growth, all while developing valuable professional and technical skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Work directly with professionals across one or more disciplines (Engineering, Environmental, Public Involvement, and Surveying).
- Participate in real-world projects that support company initiatives and community impact.
- Gain hands-on experience with practical applications in your field of study.
- Learn from industry experts in a collaborative, team-focused setting.
- Contribute to the success of the department through research, data collection, reporting, and project support activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project planning and design.
- Help identify opportunities for process improvement or innovative project solutions.
EDUCATION
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Natural Science, GIS, Surveying, Forestry, Ecology, English, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Willingness and ability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Work performed in an office setting, with occasional opportunities to join field/site visits.
- Interns are expected to uphold PCI’s professional standards, teamwork, and commitment to quality.
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Able to drive to project locations
- Eligible to work in the United States
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous internship or project experience in engineering, environmental studies, communications, or business-related fields.
- Familiarity with technical writing, data analysis, or research projects.
- Experience with office productivity, design, mapping, or collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Teams, AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Demonstrated leadership ability through academic, extracurricular, or volunteer activities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for learning in a professional environment.
