Hike & Bike Trail System TAP LG

PCI was selected by the City of Boerne to design, survey, and environmentally clear the expansion of the existing Old No. 9 Trail. As its name suggests, the Old No. 9 Trail partially follows the path of a historic wagon trail for immigrants that traveled from San Antonio to Boerne. The trail improvements tied into the City of Boerne’s existing trail network. PCI designed and oversaw the construction of a 10-ft wide concrete trail, trailheads, amenities, and a prefabricated-type pedestrian bridge (located behind the Patrick Heath Public Library). The combined utilization of these pedestrian networks has greatly enhanced the walkability and enjoyment of downtown and adjoining neighborhoods.
